In 2006, the 5-cent coin was removed from circulation in New Zealand. To commemorate this event and to emphasise the plight of the New Zealand tuatara, we have released a very special 10-cent coin with an image of the tuatara. This is a great addition to the 2007 annual coin which also features the tuatara.
