This Set, comprising two 38.74mm aluminium bronze coins, celebrates iconic animals of Australia and New Zealand.
Australian Legal Tender Coin
The Kangaroo coin, issued as legal tender of Australia, depicts Australia's signature animal. The image of the kangaroo surrounded by a pattern representing ‘new beginnings’ was created by Charmaine Cole, an indigenous artist from Western Australia.
New Zealand Legal Tender Coin
The Rowi coin, issued as legal tender of New Zealand, depicts one of the rarest species of kiwi, a national symbol. The image of a rowi appears inside a patterned ring inspired by iconography of the Maori, New Zealand's indigenous people.
HM Queen Elizabeth II Obverse
Both coins bear the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Coloured Presentation Card
The coins are housed in a presentation card featuring coloured images of a kangaroo and a kiwi. The back of the card incorporates a Certificate of Authenticity. The card comes in a sleeve bearing a similar design.
