During its first 100 years, Australia's oldest tournament for professional golfers has been won by the cream of home-grown talent, including Peter Thomson and Greg Norman, as well as international stars such as Gary Player and Seve Ballesteros.

Reverse Design With Colour
The coin's reverse depicts a golfer and a golf ball. The design includes the Australian PGA Centenary logo in colour, the year dates 1905-2005 and the inscription The start of a new era. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark also appears in the design.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
Presented With Ball-Marker
Each coin is housed in a stylish presentation case with a ball-marker featuring The Perth Mint logo. The case comes in an outer shipper portraying the Australian PGA Centenary logo in colour on the front.
